Officials from the Evansville/Vanderburgh County Emergency Management Agency in Indiana reported that seven earthquakes occurred Monday morning along the New Madrid fault line, including two near Ridgely, Tennessee.

Missouri’s State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) confirmed that the other five earthquakes were near Marston, Missouri. All of the quakes registered a magnitude of 1 or higher.

According to Michigan Technological University, earthquakes with magnitudes of 2.5 or lower are typically not felt by people but can be detected by seismographs, with millions occurring annually.

Country music star Morgan Wallen, facing four charges from an incident in April where he allegedly threw a chair off the rooftop of a Broadway bar, plans to waive his preliminary hearing, allowing the case to proceed to a grand jury.

Nashville police arrested Wallen on April 7 after the chair was thrown from the roof of Chief’s, Eric Church’s bar located in the 200 block of Broadway. The chair landed approximately three feet from two Metro officers standing in front of the bar around 10:53 p.m.

According to the arrest report, video surveillance captured Wallen throwing the chair off the roof. The footage reportedly shows him lunging and hurling the object.

Wallen was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment—two for the officers near the landing site and one for endangering the public—along with a charge of disorderly conduct.

Colder air is set to return to Middle Tennessee, accompanied by enough moisture to produce flurries and snow showers. A light dusting of snow is possible in areas just north and east of Nashville, with slightly higher amounts expected in the elevated regions of the Cumberland Plateau.

Temperatures will remain below or near freezing early Wednesday, with potentially slick spots on roads, bridges, and overpasses, especially in areas northeast of Nashville early in the day.

Wednesday will bring variable cloudiness, breezy conditions, and chilly temperatures, with highs in the 40s and wind chills in the 30s. An isolated rain or snow shower may occur during the afternoon, but significant accumulation is unlikely.
