Attorneys filed a $12 million wrongful death lawsuit on behalf of a 9-year-old girl whose father, Jeremy Moore, died in the Oct. 10 explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems in McEwen.

The suit alleges gross negligence by AES’s parent company, AAC Investments, citing a history of safety violations, chemical exposure, and a previous deadly explosion.

The blast killed 16 workers at the explosives plant, prompting a multi-agency investigation into what officials call a “disaster of epic proportions.”

Federal and state investigators say it may take months to determine the cause as grieving families demand answers.

Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris declared a state of emergency as the Memphis Safe Task Force continues a sweeping anti-crime push that’s already led to nearly 1,000 arrests.

Harris claims the surge is overwhelming county jails, with the sheriff requesting $1.5 million in emergency funds to handle overcrowding.

The move comes after a presidential order aimed at restoring law and order, prompting a spike in arrests projected to rise 200%.

The emergency will stay in place until arrest rates drop or jail populations stabilize.

The 56-year-old star, known for hits like The Good Stuff, called the honor “humbling” and credited his success to the musicians and writers around him.

Chesney, a Gibbs High graduate, joins fellow Tennessee legends like Dolly Parton and Roy Acuff in the Hall’s ranks.

He enters as a “Modern Era” artist, capping a career that’s spanned decades and stadiums.

Unknown Number Calling? It’s Not Random

The BBC caught scam call center workers on hidden cameras as they laughed at the people they were tricking. One worker bragged about making $250k from victims. The disturbing truth? Scammers don’t pick phone numbers at random. They buy your data from brokers.

Once your data is out there, it’s not just calls. It’s phishing, impersonation, and identity theft. That’s why we recommend Incogni: They delete your info from the web, monitor for new threats, and keep erasing your data as new risks appear.
