Question: Pat Summitt, honored at Saturday’s Race for the Summitt in Knoxville, was how old when she took over the Lady Vols?

Answer: 22. Summitt took the Tennessee job in 1974, two years after Title IX and before women’s college basketball was even an NCAA sport. Over 38 seasons, she won 1,098 games and eight national titles, never had a losing season, and saw every Lady Vol who completed her eligibility earn a degree.
