Article Icon 1Storms Knock Out Power Across Region

Severe storms swept through Middle Tennessee overnight on Monday, knocking out power to tens of thousands of residents across Nashville and surrounding counties.

At the peak, more than 16,000 customers in Metro Nashville alone were without electricity, with widespread outages also reported in Clarksville, Dickson, and rural areas due to fallen trees and lightning.

Crews restored service to most areas by late morning, though some customers remained in the dark as repairs continued.

The region remained on alert through last night as additional storms swept through.

A Tennessee woman gave birth to a baby girl last week aboard a Delta flight from Atlanta to Portland, Oregon, just minutes before landing.

Two paramedics on board stepped in, improvising with blankets and a shoelace to assist with the delivery after the mother went into labor midair.

The baby, Brielle Renee Blair, arrived about two weeks early but was reported healthy along with her mother after they were taken to a hospital. See photos of Brielle here.

The airline praised the crew and volunteers for stepping in to handle the unlikely delivery and keep both mom and baby safe.

The University of Tennessee led the nation in total attendance across football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball for the third straight year.

Vols’ athletics drew 1,181,715 fans over 37 home games in the 2025-26 season, more than 138,000 ahead of second-place Texas A&M, with only five schools topping one million fans nationwide.

Tennessee also ranked No. 1 in Division I average attendance at 31,938 per game, the only program above that mark, while just one other school cleared 25,000.

School leaders pointed to the sustained energy of Vol Nation as the driving force behind the turnout.

One Shark Missed Billions… Another Saw This Coming

Imagine turning down an Uber offer at a $10 million valuation, only to see it go public at over $80 billion.

That’s exactly what happened to Mark Cuban… a 799,900% return, gone.

But original Shark Tank investor Kevin Harrington built his career doing the opposite: spotting asymmetric opportunities before they go mainstream.

Like Uber turned vehicles into income-generating assets, Mode Mobile is turning smartphones into income streams.

They were named the No. 1 fastest-growing software company by Deloitte and have already helped their users earn and save over $1B.

Kevin Harrington invested early.

And at just $0.50/share, you can still get in before their potential IPO.

Secure shares at $0.50 while the pre-IPO window is still open.

Intel just surged 23.6% after earnings, one of its biggest moves in decades. Investors are flooding into AI infrastructure. But chips aren’t the full story.
