Article Icon 1Near-Record Heat Returns This Week

Sunshine is back, and highs could challenge records this week, with temperatures climbing into the upper 80s and low 90s.

Memphis and Jackson are forecast to reach about 89 today, Nashville about 87, and highs stay in the upper 80s across much of the state through Thursday.

A cold front arrives Friday, dropping highs into the low to mid 60s by Saturday, with lows near 40 in some spots.

Even so, it would take a big jump to touch Nashville’s October record of 98 degrees, set on Oct. 1, 2019.

Tennessee’s Public Charter School Commission unanimously approved appeals from Music City Academy and the Gate School, overruling Metro Nashville Public Schools’ denials over fiscal concerns.

Music City Academy, founded by former Titans receiver Kevin Dyson, would be a high school of about 480 students built around athletics and career training, while the Gate School is a planned West Nashville middle school.

MNPS staff had rated the two applications the highest of any charter proposals since 2014, though the school board voted to deny them.

The approvals also open a path for future charter applicants to apply directly to the state commission over the next five years.

Article Icon 1TN Couple Visits Every U.S. County

A Tennessee couple has visited all 3,144 counties in the United States, joining a group of only about 80 people recognized by the Extra Miler Club for accomplishing the feat.

The club was founded in 1973 by three travelers who realized how many rural counties they had visited while collecting license plates.

Finishing the list usually means long detours down back roads and chartered flights to remote corners of Alaska and Hawaii.

For comparison, the average club member has visited about 585 counties.

How to Survive 16 Days Underwater

In March, an underwater drone traveled 1,257 miles over 16 days without ever coming up, roughly the distance from Los Angeles to Dallas.

That kind of uninterrupted range underwater used to require a nuclear reactor. But this world-first performance was powered by Infinity’s hydrogen fuel cell technology.

Why’s this a big deal? Unlike batteries that must get bigger to run longer, Infinity’s fuel cells deliver massive performance in small packages. This enables drones to operate without surfacing or recharging, a key strategic advantage for customers like the U.S. Navy.

The Navy isn’t the only one betting on Infinity, either. This tech has also logged 2,600+ hours for NASA. In total, Infinity’s won $60M+ in past and current contracts.

Now they’re scaling production to meet demand and inviting investors to share in their potential. And if you invest by Thursday, you’ll earn 5% in guaranteed bonus stock. Maximize your early-stage Infinity stake before the deadline.
