Three guards were taken hostage during a riot Sunday night at Trousdale Turner Correctional Facility in Hartsville.

The situation began around 10 p.m., prompting a massive law enforcement response of approximately 100 officers, including help from five nearby counties and the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Authorities used gas to regain control of the facility, safely rescuing all hostages, though one was treated for injuries.

Officials say the inmates never breached the outer perimeter, and the facility remains secure.

A 230-year-old log home in Sullivan County is being dismantled and relocated to Amherst, Virginia, after it was sold on Facebook Marketplace.

Doug Hakey, the buyer, is carefully labeling and removing each piece of the Droke-Starbuck house, which is believed to be constructed from chestnut and poplar.

The structure, assembled with wooden pegs and handmade brick, will be rebuilt on Hakey’s farm overlooking the Blue Ridge Parkway.
