Question: What military national park is shared by Tennessee and Mississippi?
Answer: Shiloh National Military Park preserves the battlefields of Shiloh and Corinth from the American Civil War. The main section of the park is in the unincorporated community of Shiloh, about nine miles south of Savannah, Tennessee, with additional sites in Corinth, Mississippi, 23 miles southwest of Shiloh, and at Parker’s Crossroads Battlefield in Parker’s Crossroads, Tennessee. The Battle of Shiloh (April 6–7, 1862) marked the beginning of a six-month struggle for control of the railroad junction at Corinth, culminating in a Union siege in May and a successful defense against a Confederate counterattack in October.
