The Flyover: From a Kitchen Table Idea to a National Movement

Two years ago, our founder, Guy Short, sat at his kitchen table, frustrated by the intentional bias dominating the news. That day, he came up with a bold idea:

Common-sense news for common-sense Americans.

What started with 47 readers now reaches over 3 million Americans every day.

Today, The Flyover publishes nine state editions, 61 newsletters weekly, and The Flyover Podcast, streaming seven days a week—and unlike most start-ups, we’re already profitable.

Readers Turned Owners

Since August, more than 1,450 readers have invested nearly $2.5 million to support our growth. Their support has powered:

  • Over 3 million total Flyover readers

  • Texas Flyover nearing 500,000 readers

  • Florida Flyover up 32%

  • Record-breaking podcast and YouTube growth

Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton wants to at least double the state’s school voucher program in 2026, citing overwhelming demand from families.

Nearly 42,000 applied for just 20,000 Education Freedom Scholarships this year, which are worth over $7,000 each and funded by public dollars.

Supporters, including Gov. Bill Lee, say the response shows families want more control over their child’s education. Lawmakers will revisit the issue when the General Assembly reconvenes in January.

Article Icon 1Church Mourns Pastor Lost in Plant Blast

A rural Tennessee church this week honored the memory of its leader, one of 16 people killed in Friday’s explosion at the Accurate Energetic Systems munitions plant in McEwen.

Pastor Trent Stewart led a tight-knit congregation at The Log Church in Waverly, where those in attendance remembered him as a man of faith, devoted to his fiancé and community.

Katy Stover, Stewart’s fiancée, said on social media, “I know this would have absolutely thrilled Trent.”

Authorities have identified all 16 people killed in the devastating blast and are working to clear the area of hazards, including explosives, and to recover and identify remains.

Article Icon 1Fireball Lights Up Middle Tennessee Sky

A bright green fireball stunned early risers across Middle Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama around 2 a.m. Tuesday, likely linked to the active Taurid meteor showers.

The meteor’s fiery passage was captured on doorbell, security, and dash cameras and shared with the American Meteor Society.

The North and South Taurids, known for producing bright fireballs, are expected to peak in the first few weeks of November. Under a dark sky, stargazers may be able to see up to 20 meteors per hour.

Move Over Exxon, This Energy Upstart Is Ready for Primetime

Energy giants like Exxon and Chevron have been buying up land in America’s lithium hotspot.

Now they’ve got a new neighbor.

EnergyX just acquired the rights to 35,000 gross acres of high-grade lithium resources in the Smackover Formation, right next to Exxon and Chevron’s lithium projects, bringing their total to nearly 50,000 acres.

What’s really turning heads about this move is that EnergyX isn’t just competing for lithium-rich land. They’ve pioneered patented technology that can extract 300% more lithium than traditional methods. That combination positions EnergyX as one of the largest vertically integrated lithium producers in America. Additionally, General Motors has invested, along with other global leaders such as Eni and POSCO.

Great timing, too, because the demand for lithium is projected to be 18X current production by 2040.

You can claim a stake in the lithium boom, too. But act fast.

Invest in EnergyX for just $10/share through Oct. 30.

Meet America’s Newest $1B Unicorn

This U.S. startup just surpassed a $1 billion valuation, joining billion-dollar private companies like SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic.

Unlike those other unicorns, you can invest. Over 35,000 people already have. Similarly, industry giants such as General Motors, Eni, and POSCO have also done so.

Why all the interest? EnergyX’s patented tech can recover 300% more lithium than traditional methods. That’s a big deal as demand for lithium is projected to outstrip supply by 2030.

Now, they’re moving toward commercial production, developing 100,000+ acres of lithium deposits in Chile, a potential $1.1B in annual revenue opportunity at projected market prices.

Currently, you can invest at this pivotal stage for just $10/share, before the price increases on October 30th. Invest in EnergyX here.
