Home to approximately 187,000 residents, Chattanooga saw more than 10,300 home sales close in 2024, according to a new report.

In January, the average home price in Chattanooga was $330,000, and prices are expected to increase 2–3% over the next year.

Nashville’s running community gathered Saturday for a memorial run in honor of Alyssa Lokits, a Vanderbilt University graduate and beloved community member tragically murdered nearly five months ago while jogging on Mill Creek Greenway.

In her honor, the nonprofit Free to Move was founded to promote safety for outdoor exercisers.

Friends remember the 34-year-old as selfless. Organizers are also working with Metro Parks to explore enhanced security and public safety videos.
