Own The Flyover

From the Founder’s Desk:
Why I Want The Flyover Readers to Own The Flyover

When I decided to accept investors in The Flyover, one thing mattered to me more than anything: that our readers would have the chance to become our owners. If I had my druthers, every single investor in The Flyover would be a Flyover reader. That’s why we’ve structured this offering with you in mind:

  • 5% bonus shares for all Flyover readers who invest

  • An additional 5% bonus for those investing in our current round from $1M to $2M

Legally, the offering is open to any U.S. citizen. But my heart—and our strategy—are focused on keeping ownership in the hands of our readers. Right now, we’re less than $130,000 away from hitting $2 million raised. Once we cross that mark, the extra 5% bonus goes away.

That’s why I’m asking our readers one more time: will you consider investing in The Flyover today?

But some of our readers are asking: “How do I get a return on my investment?”

Here’s why The Flyover is different:

  • Already profitable after just two years (most start-ups never are)
  • 80% gross margins and 24% net income (exceptional margins)
  • In the top 1% of media start-ups (proven strength)

How investors could realize returns:

  1. A Sale – Only to a partner who shares our values. (CNN or the New York Times need not apply.)

  2. Public Listing – Shares traded openly on an exchange.

  3. Profit Distributions (Dividends) – Because we’re already profitable, this is possible.

Recap: Sale. Listing. Distributions.

My Closing Pitch

More than 1,225 Flyover readers have already joined us as investors. We’re just $130K away from our next milestone—and once we hit it, the chance at 10% bonus shares drops to 5%.  If you’ve been considering investing, now is the moment. Let’s finish this round together and make The Flyover a news company truly owned by its readers.

Will you be one of the investors who help us keep The Flyover reader-owned?

Middle Tennessee State University fired Assistant Dean Laura Sosh-Lightsy after she posted “callous” remarks about conservative leader Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

Sosh-Lightsy, who oversaw student conduct, drew immediate backlash for saying Kirk “spoke his fate into existence” and doubled down despite criticism.

After U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn demanded action, MTSU’s president said her comments made her unfit for a student-facing role.

Kirk, 31, was fatally shot while speaking at Utah Valley University and was slated to appear at a Murfreesboro conference next week.

Operated by CoreCivic, the prison is expected to house more detainees in the coming weeks and create nearly 250 jobs.

Some residents remain wary, citing past complaints about CoreCivic’s management, but Mayor Eddie Noeman says the move will boost the town’s economy with new tax revenue and jobs.

The facility last operated in 2021 before its federal contract expired.
