Question: What does BNA, the airport code for Nashville International Airport, stand for?

Answer: Berry Field Nashville, the airport’s original name, which honored Col. Harry S. Berry, the Tennessee Works Progress Administration chief who oversaw its construction. The airport opened in 1937, and Berry Field is still the name of the Air National Guard base there.
