Article Icon 1Possible Heat Dome, Warm Spring Ahead

Tennessee is in line for a warmer-than-normal spring, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s newly released outlook.

The shift follows a winter of severe storms, tornadoes, and heavy rain, with forecasters warning of another round of unpredictable weather.

A potential heat dome, which is a high-pressure system that traps heat and limits cloud cover, could push temperatures higher if it expands east.

Article Icon 1Community Rallies After Bus Tragedy

Clarksville neighbors are stepping up to offer support and resources to the families of children injured or killed in a fatal school bus crash last week.

Two Kenwood Middle School students were killed and perhaps as many as 20 others injured on Friday when a school bus crashed head-on with a dump truck in Carroll County.

In the chaotic aftermath, two parents following the bus on the road jumped in to pull children from the wreckage before they knew their own daughter was safe.

Others in the community are now working to support the affected families, launching fundraisers to cover medical bills, travel, and recovery costs for those injured.

Article Icon 1Couple Ties the Knot at Buc-ee’s

A couple from Illinois got married on Sunday at a Buc-ee’s in Sevierville, turning an offhand joke into a three-minute Smoky Mountains ceremony.

The bride called the decision “on-brand” for their relationship and love of road trips, since the couple frequently stopped at Buc-ees during their travels.

The couple posted online looking for an officiant and received hundreds of offers, including comedians and a ventriloquist, before choosing a local firefighter to lead the service.

Surrounded by curious customers, the pair exchanged vows beside the store’s iconic beaver statue, drawing cheers, photos, and plenty of smiles.
