Tennessee is pumping $1.5 billion into its technical college system to modernize campuses and tackle a statewide workforce shortage.

The upgrades, spread across all 27 Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology, will expand capacity and add programs in fields like nursing, EMT training, and industrial maintenance.

At TCAT Nashville, a $28 million allied health building and $54 million in campus improvements are already underway.

State leaders say the investment, which has been years in the making, will help create skilled, job-ready workers to fill essential positions.

Stewart Parks, a Nashville man pardoned by President Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol protests, is now running in a crowded GOP primary for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District.

Parks, who served eight months for trespassing and theft, says he still backs Trump fully.

The congressional seat opened after Rep. Mark Green resigned unexpectedly in July.

Early voting is set to begin Sept. 17, with the general election scheduled for Dec. 2.

A Kingsport man with a rare and aggressive liver cancer is now cancer-free after undergoing a cutting-edge treatment called histotripsy.

Larry Vaughn, 64, received the sound wave-based procedure in Southern California earlier this year after a social media tip led his family to the experimental option. By May, his scans showed no signs of cancer.

The non-invasive therapy offers new hope for patients with hard-to-treat tumors, and Vaughn credits his recovery to faith, family, and a stranger who messaged them online: “Please check into histotripsy.”

Former Zillow Exec Opens Door to $1.3T Market

Austin Allison sold his first company for $120M. He later served as an executive for Zillow. Both companies reached massive valuations before everyday investors could get in.

“I always wished everyday investors could have shared in their early success,” Allison later said. So he built Pacaso differently.

Pacaso brings co-ownership to the $1.3T vacation home market, earning $110M+ in gross profit in under five years. No wonder the same early investors who backed Uber, Venmo, and eBay already invested in Pacaso.

Now, after adding 10 new international destinations, Pacaso is hitting its stride. It even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

And unlike his previous ventures, you can invest in Pacaso as a private company. But you don’t have time to waste. Invest before Pacaso’s opportunity ends on Sept. 18.

This is a paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Please read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving the ticker is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals.
