Article Icon 1Three Arrested in Ongoing Manhunt

The manhunt for Austin Drummond, 28, continues as multiple agencies pursue the suspect accused of killing four family members in Lake County on July 29.

Three associates have been taken into custody on a charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

A combined $30,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Drummond’s arrest. Authorities believe Drummond may have fled the state. The U.S. Marshals Service has joined state agents in the widening manhunt.

A 2020 letter from a Tennessee district attorney warned the parole board that Drummond was a violent gang member “not capable of living in society” before his early release from prison.

Bristol Motor Speedway hosted the highest-attended MLB game in history this weekend, selling over 91,032 tickets for the once-in-a-lifetime matchup between the Braves and Reds.

The game took place over two days due to a rain delay on Saturday, which led to long lines and frustration as vendors sold out of food before the first pitch was even thrown. Fans were treated to cheeseless nachos, bunless hot dogs, and more as they waited for the rain to subside Saturday night.

Despite the logistical mayhem, the event brought in an estimated $100 million in visitor spending to Tennessee, boosting the local economy of Johnson City and the surrounding area.

“Honestly, I think it was poorly handled by the MLB,” said Reds infielder Gavin Lux, “Obviously, you can’t control the weather, but I think we could have done some things on their side.”

Despite its storybook exterior, the 3,024-square-foot bunker features a fully modern interior, chef’s kitchen, and high-end finishes.

A video of the 38-acre compound shows a stocked pond, fruit orchard, vegetable garden, and even a shooting range.

The property includes two workshops: one with a four-car garage and another designed to support the home’s off-grid systems and utilities.
